Introducing a Big Book in the power point s
Information and
communication Technology is considered as a key tool for supporting teachers
who adopt differentiated instruction, since it gives students with different
learning profiles the opportunity to work at the same level, at the same time
and through possible peer interaction. The use of ICT tools can actually
contribute to differentiate as they are able to promote students’ active role,
provide opportunities for changing and modifying teaching and learning
approaches.
In this lesson I have used
ICT to transfer the story and pictures from the text into a power point slides from
the text ‘Look for me’. Usually when
a new text is introduced to the children, teachers use the text but today in
place of text I have used the power point slide. It was very convenient for me
to take the children through the picture walk and book talk. The children don’t
have to struggle to see the pictures and I also don’t have to walk from group
to group.
I uploaded this PPT in
class I wechat forum on 25th Oct. 2020. As per their remarks, they
said that it was an interesting video to watch because they said the lesson was
an integration of ICT from the primary level.
So, I should say
that integrating ICT in our daily teaching gives an eminence benefits in the
teaching learning process. It gives variety of approaches and innovative ways
of teaching and learning. With the change in time teachers can no longer rely
and restrict on the old traditional methods of teaching we must adopt and
accept to change the new ways of teaching and learning process.
